Why LinkedIn.com?

LinkedIn® is an online business networking community. It requires you to provide and to publish the simple information that is listed on common business cards, with the exception of your telephone number. We use your email address to communicate with our members in writing, and we keep your personal email confidential. We use our members’ LinkedIn® profiles for our member roster (membership directory).

Why Bar Recruiters?

is a question usually asked by a recruiter… The answer is simple: our association does not exist for recruitment firms. If a member company requires the services of a search firm, another member can provide a reference to a reputable person. Recruiters can attend the quarterly dinners as a guest of a member, of course, but, pretty please, leave your business cards at the office.

Why Only The Senior-Most Managers? Why No Vice Presidents? Why No Sales Managers?

Only the head of the company has the authority to make decisions for the entire firm in Poland. This association serves only their business agenda. If your CEO is an expatriate on Polish soil, he or she can become a member.

Why English Speaking?

English is the international language of business. As such, it is the most common language spoken by expatriates who lead their company in Poland. It is a pragmatic issue that this association conducts its affairs transparently using a common business language known to many expatriates in Poland. It is good business practice.

Why Expatriates?

Expatriate business leaders, though their firms greatly impact the Polish economy, are an under served group in Poland. For whatever the reason, not many services specifically target the small community of expatriate CEOs, many of whom stay for 2 to 3 years before moving on to the next challenge in another country. They need to be brought up to speed on a variety of local market situations, which is what our association offers through our network.

Moreover, an unique, shared background exists within this community of people. Expatriate business leaders have a common profile as ambitious decision-makers sent into foreign markets. The successful expatriate business leader is a certain type of person and our association offers them a place to congregate together regardless of their nationality.
